# macOS or Linux: make it executable and put it on your PATH chmod +x intake-cli_* sudo mv intake-cli_* /usr/local/bin/intake-cli # macOS only, the first time: allow a downloaded command-line tool to run xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /usr/local/bin/intake-cli
Stream submissions to your machine
Create an API key in the dashboard with submissions:read (and forms:write to send test submissions), then:
export INTAKE_URL=https://intake.starstorm.dev INTAKE_API_KEY=<your key>
intake-cli listen --forward-to localhost:3000/hook # every new submission, signed like a webhook
intake-cli trigger <form id> --data '{"email":"ada@example.com"}'
listen prints a signing secret for the session and one line per delivery, and carries on where it left off if the connection drops. Spam is not forwarded; test submissions are.
Open encrypted exports offline
intake-cli decrypt workspace-export.zip --out submissions.json intake-cli decrypt workspace-export.zip --recovery # with the recovery code instead intake-cli decrypt workspace-export.zip --out submissions.json --files ./files # and the encrypted files
Reads the export's vault and opens every encrypted submission with your vault passphrase, on your computer, with no connection to us. The output is plaintext, so keep it safe.
